The Evolve Yoga & Music festival returns to Byron on Saturday 5th October, at the Byron Bay Public School. This one-day event is a celebration of all things yoga, with over 60 local, national and international presenters and artists.
Experience a wide range of styles of yoga, along with presentations and workshops on spirituality, holistic health and well-being.
Hosted by the Byron Yoga Centre Evolve Yoga invites you to a range of sessions including a healing sound shower where Avishai Barnatan will take you on a deeply transformational journey combining Tibetan bowls, chimes, flutes and overtone singing. Bring your friends along for a surrendering experience in Partner Yoga, or if you’re feeling like something a bit more challenging and playful then try Acro Yoga with Tanya Zappala. Joining us to explore a more traditional Indian style of yoga (body contortion included!) are yoga Masters Prahbuji & Sathishji. Byron Yoga Centre’s John Ogilvie will introduce you to the philosophies and physical practices of Purna Yoga and a handful of the studio’s teachers will be showcasing their unique styles – from ‘Yin Yoga’, to ‘Chanting Vinyasa Flow’. Kids come for free to enjoy kids’ classes and workshops, and the whole town is invited to check out the marketplace with no cover charge.
Kicking off the evening is an interactive performance by local kirtan artists EnCHANTed, and taking us well into the night are devotion-in-motion chant dance band, Mantra Ray.
The Evolve Yoga & Music Festival hopes to encourage as many people as possible to join in this wonderful practice. The festival aspires to introduce new people to the benefits of yoga, and encourage those who may have been practicing for years to try new styles. To make the festival accessible to all, tickets are available pre-sale online for only $35. For more information about the event, see the website: www.evolveyogafestival.com.au
