Rocky teenager has the X-Factor after impromptu auditon
AN impromptu X-Factor audition has paid off for Rockhampton starlet Emily Brown.
The talented teenager, who starred in local productions Hairspray and Chicago, has made it through to the next round.
"I was going to support a friend and thought if I'm going to be here all day I might as well give it a go," she said yesterday.
Emily said she sang Hallelujah at the Brisbane auditions, impressing the judges with her versatility.
The former Heights College student is no stranger to the audition process, having made it through to the same stage last year.
"Last time I had never sang in front of anyone," she said.
"But this time I had all this experience. Nothing can improve you more than experience."
Emily first came into the spotlight last year, when her cover of chart-topping hit Skyscraper went viral on iTunes.
Emily will now await a phone call audition, which she said could happen anytime between now and March.
