A MIRACLE try from Manly winger David Williams helped the Sea Eagles snare a 30-20 upset over South Sydney to book themselves a grand final berth for next Sunday.
An unstoppable first 15 minute-period saw South Sydney take a 14-0 lead, with tries to John Sutton and Nathan Merritt.
After holding the upper hand in the possession stakes, the Rabbitohs scored first in the sixth minute, with Sutton powering over from dummy half.
Merritt then scored an historic try after 13 minutes, his 144th to equal Benny Wearing's club record, courtesy of a backline play started by Sutton. But the Sea Eagles refused to say die, fullback Brett Stewart scoring off a classy grubber from second-rower, and brother, Glenn.
They continued their momentum, with tries to Matt Ballin and Jamie Lyon, giving the northern beaches side an 18-14 lead on the hour. Manly ran away with it after that.
