Dreamworld reopens after 6 weeks in limbo

UPDATE: Dreamworld has reopened in what the park is calling a 'respectful' day of celebrations.

Visitors are returning to the park with $25 from every ticket going to the Give It organisation via the Red Cross.

The park has been closed for the last six weeks as investigators looked into the deaths of four people on the Thunder River Rapids ride on October 25.

YESTERDAY: DREAMWORLD will reopen tomorrow with a "respectful" day to celebrate the return of visitors to the park.

CEO Craig Davidson said Dreamworld and White Water World will open at 10am tomorrow with a full program including a fundraiser for the families of the four victims who died at the park in October.

"It will be a respectful weekend but one that celebrates the reopening of the park," he told ABC radio.

Mr Davidson said $25 from every person who walks through the gate of either park will go to the Give It organisation via the Red Cross.

"We're hoping to raise some funds for the victims and their families who are at the forefront of everything we do," he said.

Mr Davidson said Dreamworld staff were feeling positive and looking forward to welcoming people back to the park.

"We've spent a lot of time with (employees) over the last month or so making sure they're emotionally to go and the overwhelming feeling is one of relief and looking forward to the future," he said.

Mr Davidson said every ride at the park had undergone a rigorous program of testing and auditing and he believed confidence in Dreamworld had been reinstalled.
