Demons want another crack at the Lions

AUSSIE RULES: After her side suffered what was then considered a shock AFLW round one loss to Brisbane, Melbourne vice-captain Melissa Hickey wants another crack at the unbeaten Lions.

The Demons upset second- placed Adelaide in Darwin on Saturday night to keep their grand final hopes alive. The Lions have secured a place in the March 25 decider and are awaiting an opponent.

On the same amount of points (16) as the Crows but with a far inferior percentage, Melbourne must defeat Fremantle on Saturday and then need Collingwood to beat Adelaide on Sunday to progress.

"I know personally no one's really been considering us (a flag chance)," Hickey (pictured, right) said.

"Our goal at the start of the season was to win the grand final and to be the premiers. That's still what we're aiming for but obviously a lot still needs to happen before that."
