DANIEL Radcliffe claims "love is not fun" and he has let his experiences of heartache seep through into his unlucky-in-love character in 'The F Word'.

The actor appears in new romantic comedy 'The F Word', in which he plays an unlucky-in-love character, and admits he finds relationships hard work in real life.

Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, the actor - who spilt from long-term girlfriend Rosie Coker in October 2012 amid rumours he had an on-set fling with actress Erin Darke - said: "Love is not fun. It might be for some people.

"It's much more fun if you're enjoying the person's company that you're with."

Relating to his character from 'The F Word', he added: "This is the first time that I've been allowed to let more of my personality show through in a character."

Daniel - who rose to fame in the 'Harry Potter' series of films when he was just a boy and is estimated to be worth £54 million - also said he wouldn't date a fan, saying: "I think that would be weird of me, to do that."

The 24-year-old star also joked about sleeping with his female friends.
