Chiana's in a spin for World Tutu Day

TODAY is World Tutu Day - an international fundraising day aimed at supporting ballet education around the world.

The day is only in its second year and, as of this morning, has raised more than $3000 to help fund the ballet dreams of talented students.

Within Australia funds raised through the day will provide scholarships and bursaries at the Australian Ballet School.

Locally, 4-year-old Chiana Taylor-Fox is an avid supporter of the day.

Chiana's mum Sasha Fox, who teaches belly dancing, said her daughter loved getting into her tutu.

"I love dressing up as well, it is a part of dancing," she said.
