Crystal Palace claims first win

ALL three promoted clubs have now registered a win in the EPL after Crystal Palace beat the still winless Sunderland 3-1 at Selhurst Park.

Danny Gabbidon, Dwight Gayle and Stuart O'Keefe scored the goals that secured the first points of the season for Palace.

Manchester City beat another of the promoted trio, Hull City, 2-0 after Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo came off the bench to head home the opener before Yaya Toure (pictured) sealed the win with a stunning freekick in the final minute.

The final one of the top-flight's new boys, Cardiff City, drew 0-0 with Everton.

Jermaine Pennant's 82nd minute freekick earned Stoke City a 1-0 win at West Ham.

The defeat was the Hammers' first at home since February, and it was the first goal they have conceded this season

Nathan Redmond's goal was enough for Norwich City to beat Southampton 1-0 and record a first league victory of the season, while Hatem Ben Arfa scored Newcastle United's first league goal of the season in the 1-0 win at home against Fulham
