Cry Wolf to rock Open Arms Festival

ONE Coffs Coast band can hardly believe its luck ... fronting the stage for the thousands expected at the Open Arms Festival.

Cry Wolf band members visited Coffs Harbour Showground yesterday ahead of Saturday’s outdoor concert and found a big venue to fill.

The group won the right to a slot on the Enchanted Woods Stage by competing in the Open Arms Battle of the Bands competition held over several weeks at the Park Beach Hoey Moey.

A packed house at the Hoey Moey grand final saw Cry Wolf and The Proposition both win a spot to join a stellar line-up at the Open Arms Festival.

One of the premier music festivals on the east coast, the Open Arms Festival starts at 11am on Saturday at Coffs Harbour Showground.

Music of all genres will be played until 10pm from bands such as The Living End, Birds of Tokyo, Horrorshow, Grafton Primary and Hungry Kids of Hungary.

Tickets for the day are $90 plus booking fee in advance or $120 at the gate, if any remain until Saturday.
