Crusaders enjoy bonding session

AFTER four years without a Super Rugby title, the Crusaders have adopted a new philosophy tagged "enjoying the job" in an effort to break the drought.

The concept doesn't just apply on the field.

Ahead of their trial with the Hurricanes, the players split into six foraging and hunting groups for a bonding session last week.

Senior player George Whitelock led a group that included Israel Dagg, Nepo Laulala, Tyler Bleyendaal and Willi Heinz.

Dagg bagged a deer, Laulala, Bleyendaal and Heinz each shot a pig and Whitelock scored two goats.

The bounty was then cooked at a 'wild food feast'.
