A MAN has been charged with drug and firearms offences after a raid near Nambucca Valley.

Police said Mid North Coast officers executed a search warrant at a home in Tamban on Wednesday around 10.40am.

Officers used trail bikes and drug detection dogs to search the property.

Police will allege they located an enhanced hydroponic setup in a shed and almost 100 cannabis plants secreted across bushland.

They also found a suitcase containing approximately 10 kilograms of cannabis leaf.

Police estimated the drugs have a potential street value of $300,000.

Investigators will also allege that they located three cross bows, an air rifle, a shortened firearm and quantity of cash.

A 59-year-old man was arrested at the location and taken to Macksville Police Station.

He was later charged with enhanced indoor cultivation of prohibited plant for commercial purposes, supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, three counts of possess a prohibited weapon, two counts of possess an unauthorised firearm and deal in the proceeds of crime.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Macksville Local Court on September 6.
