Grundy fine to play Round 1 after bump
COLLINGWOOD ruckman Brodie Grundy has been cleared to play in Round 1 despite being cited for his bump on Bulldog Tory Dickson.
Grundy has been offered a $2000 fine by match review officer Michael Christian for rough conduct after he floored Dickson during the Magpies' win over the Bulldogs in Moe on Saturday.
Grundy made contact with Dickson after the forward released a handball on the wing. He left the field after the incident but later returned.
Hawthorn recruit Jarman Impey is also free to play in the clash at the MCG after copping a fine for misconduct on Blue Jed Lamb.
Gold Coast star Tom Lynch can also breathe a sigh of relief after he escaped suspension for a high bump on Lion Mitch Robinson during the pre-season QClash on Sunday.
Lynch has been offered a $2000 fine after his hip made contact with Robinson's head as he bent down to contest the ball.
Essendon's Josh Green has been handed a $1000 fine for staging.
In the AFLW, Crow Chelsea Randall can accept a reprimand for striking Docker Lisa Webb and teammate Justine Mules can also accept a reprimand for striking the Docker.
