Suffolk Park aiming for first grand final win

SUFFOLK Park will be looking to create a slice of club history by winning their first grand final when they meet Goonellabah in the Far North Coast third division soccer decider at Oakes Oval tonight at 8pm.

In just their second season, Suffolk Park won the minor premiership and will be looking to complete the double.

Their clash will be preceded by the fourth division grand final between Nimbin Headers and Lismore Thistles starting at 6pm.

While Thistles comfortably took out the minor premiership, they lost 2-0 to Headers in a major semi-final upset two weeks ago.

Grand finals will continue at Oakes Oval tomorrow, starting with the second division between Ballina and South Lismore at 12.30pm.

Ballina also figures in the first division decider, taking on fierce local rivals Tintenbar at 2.30pm.

The highlight of the day will be the premier league grand final between Lismore Thistles and Byron Bay at 6.30pm, with the same two also meeting in the premier reserves decider from 4.30pm.
