CLIVE Palmer's tourist attractions will open up as the most expensive day out on the Sunshine Coast.

It will cost $60 an adult for combined entry to the Palmer Coolum Resort's Palmersaurus, when it opens next Saturday, and his Motorama.

It will cost $37.50 to see each exhibit individually.

Rides on the dozen dinosaur exhibits at the "world's largest dinosaur park" will not be included in the entry price.

Resort general manager Bill Schoch said these would require "tokens" at a cost yet-to-be-determined, but most likely to be a couple of dollars.

The other 140-plus exhibits cannot be ridden or climbed.

Mr Schoch said the entry price for both attractions was "similar to most other attractions on the Coast".

"A review was done and it showed it was comparable to other attractions on the Coast," he said.

A visit to Australia Zoo costs $59 an adult, which includes entry to 'Africa', Aussie World costs $29 for an adult and the Bellingham Maze $25, which includes mini-golf.

Mr Schoch said the opening of the Motorama last weekend had been affected by the "rain all day".

He said the Motorama gave people an opportunity to see about 100 historic cars with a "priceless" value up close.

"The cars are all accessible, not fenced off. You can walk around them and have a look with descriptions of them all," he said.

"It is in a massive, glamorous tent. It is a freestanding 2000sq m structure that is a dedicated facility."

Mr Schoch said the dinosaurs in Palmersaurus had "buttons" that could be pressed and "they will go through their routine moves and entertain and thrill you".

No discounts for locals are promised at this stage. Child entry is almost half price at $30 for both attractions and $19 for a single attraction.

A family pass to both attractions will cost $175. There is a 10% discount available for seniors, students and pensioners.
