Chris Lilley announces new show

CHRIS Lilley, creator of Summer Heights High and We Can Be Heroes, is set to work on a new series.

An announcement on the ABC Television blog reveals the award winning writer and performer is working on a new mock documentary style show called Angy Boys, which will explore what it means to be a boy in the 21st century.

The show will be produced in cooperation with USA based HBO and the UK's BBC.

It will be shot in Australia and overseas locations and goes into pre-production on Monday, October 5.
