Child sex abuse commission looks into entertainment industry

A ROYAL commission into child sexual abuse has called for people in the entertainment industry to come forward.  

The Royal Commission into child sexual abuse would like to hear from anyone who has information about, or experienced, abuse in the entertainment industry.   

Royal commission chief executive Philip Reed said institutions in the commission's scope may include television networks, film and television production companies, theatrical production companies and casting agencies.   

"Anyone thinking of coming forward should be rest assured that the confidentiality of their information will be protected," Mr Reed said.
