Bail for Coorabell businessman charged over child porn

A 64-YEAR-OLD Coorabell man has appeared in Murwillumbah Local Court charged with using a carriage service to access child pornography.

Ronald John Fidler was arrested on Tuesday after a tip-off from the public sparked a police raid on his Coolamon Scenic Dr home.

Police say they seized computers, CDs, DVDs, USB memory sticks and external storage devices during the execution of a search warrant.

The small businessman was granted bail yesterday under strict conditions including that he not access the internet or go within 200m of a school.

He was also ordered to surrender his passport.

The matter has been adjourned to Lismore local court on July 22.
