Child falls from second storey window

FRIDAY - 11AM: A five year-old South Grafton boy is in a critical condition in Royal Brisbane Children's Hospital after he fell from a window in his home on Blanch Parade.

Police said the child struck a fence as he fell from the window and the Westpac Helicopter Service said he suffered a serious head injury.

Neighbours said an ambulance was called to the scene at about 8.15pm on Thursday night and it is understood one neighbour saw the boy fall.

He was taken to Grafton Base Hospital by the ambulance and then airlifted to Royal Brisbane Hospital at 11:05pm last night.  

THURSDAY - 11PM: A five-year-old boy was airlifted to Queensland on Thursday night after falling from a window on the second floor of a South Grafton house.

Emergency services were called to the Blanch Parade house at about 8pm.

It was reported that the boy hit a fence before he landed.

He was taken to Grafton Base Hospital before being airlifted to Queensland.
