SEA Eagles halfback Daly Cherry-Evans has fond memories of his side's clashes with Cronulla.

In his rookie NRL season in 2011, Cherry-Evans was part of the team that scored two tries in the dying minutes to secure a brilliant comeback win.

Cherry-Evans (pictured) is well aware of the history between the two clubs, made prominent because of some big clashes during the 1970s, and he is predicting plenty of passion once again when they contest the Steve Rogers Trophy at Brookvale Oval tomorrow.

"Playing for the Steve Rogers Trophy there's a lot at stake. He was an exceptional player," he said.

"Their forward pack is always as strong as anyone else's in the competition, and they also have a lot of flair in their backline."

Cherry-Evans' opposite, Sharks halfback Jeff Robson, will play his 50th match for the club against the team he debuted for back in 2004.
