Carols draw a big crowd

The rain held off – but the northerly wind didn’t.

But unpleasant as it was, the wind didn’t stop a big crowd attending last Friday evening’s Byron United-organised Carols by the Sea at Byron Bay’s Main Beach.

A power problem that saw the program start a little bit later than expected was quickly forgotten as everyone got into the carol singing.

Earlier in the afternoon, Santa Claus arrived on his motorbike at the beachfront, where mums and dads lined up to have their children photographed with the man in red.
