UPDATE 3.30PM:
A WOMAN in her 50s has been taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with a head injury after her car crashed off a cliff at Point Arkwright.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

EARLIER:
EMERGENCY service workers are on scene after a sedan crashed through a fence and plunged an estimated 25m or more off a cliff at a popular Coast beach.
The alarm was sounded about 15 minutes ago with reports a car has crashed through a fence and then fallen from a height at Point Arkwright, Yaroomba.
The crash occurred near the Jubilee Esplanade picnic and lookout area.
