IF you'd been planning to go to the first Byron Falls Festival this year, we hope you already have your ticket, because that ship just sailed.

Falls Festival organisers have just announced the Byron leg of the festival, which is also being held at Lorne, Victoria, and Marion Bay, Tasmania, has completely sold out, including the special allocation of locals-only tickets.

Of the three locations, only the Marion Bay has tickets still available, with organisers announcing the Lorne event had also sold out.

"We're thrilled that tickets for the first Falls Music and Arts Festival Byron Bay have been so popular with locals and travellers alike, " Falls Festival Byron Bay director Brandon Saul was quoted saying in a statement from the festival.

"The allocation of locals tickets has been snapped up, with locals from across the Northern Rivers choosing to come for the whole festival and many others coming to spend their New Year's Eve with us.

"We're really looking forward to putting on a great festival, Byron style"

Festival organisers said they were preparing to announce a youth skills program to run alongside the festival, which was intended to "give local youth hands-on experience and mentoring in carpentry, construction, bush regeneration and event management".

Details of the program would be released "in the coming weeks".
