Byron tops region in dog attacks

New figures show the Byron Shire is the worst in the region for dog attacks so far this year.


Department of Local Government figures show there were 18 attacks in the shire between January 1 and March 31, with 10 of the attacks involving people, four of them serious.


Over the same period, Ballina had five attacks, Kyogle, Lismore and Tweed Shire each had three and Richmond Valley had none.
