Byron Bay Swimming Pool closed due to filtration failing

THE Byron Bay Swimming Pool will be closed until early next week after a valve that controls the pool filtration failed this morning, Byron Shire Council said.

Director of corporate management, Mark Arnold, said a replacement part was unable to be sourced locally and was expected to arrive from Melbourne within the next 48 hours.

"Re-opening of the Byron Bay pool complex will depend on the delivery of the parts and time taken to get the pool water quality back to operational standards," he said.

Season pool holders are able to use their pass at the Mullumbimby Petria Thomas Swimming Pool.

Council apologies for the inconvenience caused during the unplanned swimming pool closure.
