More than 33 entries were received.
“The standard was very high,” president Carmel Nancarrow said.
“We were particularly encouraged by the enthusiasm we received from school children and from the over-70s group.”
Mrs Nancarrow thanked patron Warren Simmons, who sponsored the school trophy, and other sponsors including Eden at Byron, Leisurescapes, Mitre 10 and Byron Bay Pets and Produce.
The champion garden was won by the Byron At Byron Resort, with reserve champion St Finbarr’s School at Byron Bay.
