Buyer allegedly pulls a knife on guy over $1100 'Yeezy' shoes

A high-end sneaker deal has gone awry for a young man who elected to conduct the transaction in a Sydney park last night.

The 22-year-old man had advertised the Adidas Yeezy 750 triple black sneakers online for $1100 and met a man who wanted to buy them in Johnson Park in Sydney's Dulwich Hill yesterday.

It is alleged the buyer tried on the Kanye West-designed hi-tops and then pulled a knife, forcing the seller to flee the park. Only a limited number of the shoes were made and sold in December 2015.

Police believe the thief is the same man who earlier in the evening ran off in an expensive jacket after trying it at nearby Arlington light rail station.
