
Busy parents 'giving up the battle' to make kids eat healthy
EATING fruit does not compute for some Australian kids, who think an apple is a computer.
And many believe vitamins come from the supermarket, a new survey shows.
A third of Australian children are not eating the recommended daily serves of four to five vegetables and one or two pieces of fruit each day.
The survey of 1000 Australian kids shows that 14 per cent of children aged four to seven, and a quarter of eight to 11-year-olds, do not eat any fruit or vegetables daily.
When asked "What is an apple?", one in 60 children responded that it was a computer.
