The Big Bubble Show coming to Byron
SHEP Huntly is a well-known sideshow performer.
He's performed with rock bands in stadiums packed with 30,000 people.
He's done shows at the Sydney Opera House, he's been a hit at the National Theatre in London and he's headlined major festivals in Spain, Portugal and France.
In 1999 Huntly and three friends formed The Happy Sideshow and they toured the world performing stunts before Huntly started his new company, the Dirty Brothers, performing a blend of theatre and sideshow stunts.
And now the Suffolk Park dad has created the Big Bubble Show.
Yes, Huntly has packed up props such as chainsaws, motorbikes, nails, forks and animal traps, and replaced them with a bubble wand.
His inspiration for the new show was his four-year-old daughter, Goldie.
She loves bubbles and he said her enthusiasm for them was infectious, so he's spent the last four years "practising the art of bubble manipulation".
Huntly can now put bubbles inside bubbles, make square bubbles and smoke bubbles and even put a child inside a bubble.
His Big Bubble Show is not to be missed. Catch it at Circus Arts Byron Bay from January 5-9.
