TOOWOOMBA race car driver Will Power has used his celebrity status to help boost his brother's stand-up comedy career.

In a YouTube promotional video for his brother Damien, the 2014 IndyCar champion is shown cleaning a toilet.

"I can drive in circles faster than anyone in the world, that's no joke," he says before the clip cuts to him doing burnouts.

"But what is a joke is my brother's show, 'Damien Power: I Can't Believe I Cared'.

"Go see it. Seriously. He owes me money. Go see it," Will says.

Damien's website states, "At great expense I got famous IndyCar driver Will Power to do a promo for my show."

He will be performing daily at the Brisbane Comedy Festival in the Brisbane Powerhouse until Sunday before heading to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Sydney Comedy Festival in April.

Damien has been called one of the hottest rising stars in Australian comedy.

The comedian's 2014 highlights included performing a knockout set for Just For Laughs at the Sydney Opera House and going inter-nationally viral with his live-tweets about his brother's IndyCar Championship win.
