No hijacking of Aussie plane just a drunk passenger

UPDATED 5.56PM: VIRGIN Airlines has tweeted: "passenger arrested after trying to enter cockpit of flight from Brisbane to Bali was drunk and the incident was not a hijack"

The tweet comes after earlier reports a Virgin flight which had departed from Brisbane had been hijacked.

Brisbane to Bali flight hijacked: reports

INDONESIAN media is reporting a Virgin flight from Brisbane has been hijacked.

ABC News reports that Bali's police chief has told local media that the plane has landed in Bali and is sitting on the tarmac at the airport in Denpasar.

"We got information that a 737-800 from Brisbane to Bali has been hijacked," Indonesian air force spokesman Hadi Tjahjanto told Indonesia's MetroTV.
