Brawl boys could face time on sidelines

SAM Kasiano and Will Chambers were spotted shaking hands underneath the grandstand at Belmore Sports Ground on Friday night, but they will learn on Saturday if their first-half biff will mean they are KO'd from playing next weekend.

There was plenty of feeling between the Bulldogs and Storm, and it erupted just before halftime when Chambers ran more than 10m to throw a few punches into the back of Kasiano's head.

Chambers, a cruiserweight, and former super heavyweight Kasiano were given 10 minutes in the sin bin.

Asked if Chambers was brave taking on the much bigger Kasiano, Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy said: "I'm not sure if it's brave taking on Kasiano, it might not be very smart, that's how I'd look at it.

"It was good to see the other guys backing him up. They've gone to the sin bin, and I'd imagine it will be looked at pretty closely."

Chambers did not want to comment afterwards, while Bulldogs playmaker Josh Reynolds said: "They got into it, it's over now, I saw them out here (underneath the grandstand) shaking hands, so hopefully none of them miss games."

While the Storm would love to keep Chambers on the field, prop Jesse Bromwich is definitely gone for a decent stretch after he dislocated his right thumb to the point the bone pierced through his skin.

"We consider him to be the best front-rower in the game, so to lose him so early is a big thing," Bellamy said.

"He's looked down and felt the bone sticking out and thumb drooping down."
