Bowls club revives master pairs

Byron Bay Bowling Club has revived its master pairs tournament with its original sponsor Tony Carsburg.

The event was held over three days with days one and two played in sections with the section winners from both days coming back on the Sunday to play-off.

The section winners on day one were M Jaffray and S Piggott, P Clark and K Lehfeldt, G Rendell and B Montgomery, D Alrdidge and M Bambery.

Day two section winners were R Burgess and R Burgess, R Jones and D Ball.

The two best performed teams (to make up the eight for the finals) were L Jones and J Bultitude, R Patrick and R McCabe.

Four teams got through to the semi-finals and they were P Clark and K Lehfeldt, R Jones and D Ball, D Aldridge and M Bambery and L Jones and J Bultitude. The final was played out between R Jones and D Ball and L Jones and J Bultitude with the winners being L Jones and J Bultitude.

Luke and his partner Jason Bultitude went on to win the event.
