Bowditch tied second at Greenbrier

SUNSHINE Coast golfer Steven Bowditch is tied for 2nd after the first round of the US PGA Tour’s Greenbrier Classic.

Peregian Beach’s Bowditch carded a superb five-under 65 in the opening round of the $6million tournament in West Virigina to sit one shot behind leader Trevor Immelman.

The only blemish on Bowditch’s round was a bogey on the par-three 8th hole. He carded six birdies and 11 pars to sit in a share of second with four other players.

The tournament continues tomorrow morning and concludes Monday.
