Bonville the leading golf resort

BONVILLE Golf Resort has cracked it for another major award.

For the second time the resort has been voted Australia's Leading Golf Resort, at the 2011 Asia and Australasia World Travel Awards.

Often likened to Augusta National in the United States, Bonville took the honour over tough competition, including former winners.

Bonville picked up this title in 2006, and general manager Brad Daymond said the entire operation was delighted to be recognised again as leader in the sector.

"This title as Australia's leader reflects the ongoing improvements to the overall Bonville experience members and guests receive," he said.

"The past year has seen our course superintendent Chris Neal and his ener-

getic team working tirelessly on increasing the level of daily presentation, overall consistency and general conditioning of the golf course, along with food and beverage, housekeeping and pro shop areas, to improve the experience guests receive on their Coffs Coast visit."

The World Travel Awards are the biggest night the industry has to offer.

Votes for the awards are cast by travel agents in more than 200 countries, from which regional and geographical categories are broken down from the overall world category.

"Bonville is gearing up for a wonderful summer season, which will see the resort celebrate its 20th birthday in January," Daymond said.

"The celebrations will include special play-and-stay deals and great bonuses for players and visitors to the winner of Australasia's Leading Golf Resort."
