Bold, bright colours are in for spring

COLOUR is without a doubt the hottest trend for summer this season. From cobalt blue to neon pink and electric orange, colour is exploding in everything from belts to jeans to clutches.

Here are two ways to rock the look:

Colour-blocking: This simply means an outfit made up of blocks of solid colour. The secret is to stick to simple shapes and team together colours that are opposite on the colour wheel. Ensure each shade is the same intensity to avoid an unbalanced look.

Colour Popping: If the colourblocking trend is too full on for you but you still want to rock some brightness try just one single pop of colour. Try an aqua dress, a red shoe or pink blazer teamed with basics in your wardrobe like black, white and denim. The brighter and bolder the piece is the better.
