BASKETBALL: Aussie NBA star Andrew Bogut has signed with the LA Lakers.

ESPN reported his deal is for $US2.3 million a season, the minimum wage for a player of Bogut's experience.

The former No.1 draft pick has led a nomadic existence since leaving the Golden State Warriors at the end of the 2016 season, with stints in Dallas and Cleveland.

Bogut's time with the Cavaliers lasted 58 seconds of playing time, breaking his leg in his club debut.

The 32-year old has averaged 10 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per match over his 12-year NBA career and won a title in 2015 when part of the Warriors.
