LEADS are already coming in after a segment on the Tweed body in the bag mystery featured on Wanted TV last night.
The Channel 10 crime show detailed where the skeletal remains were found on the banks of the Tweed River at Tumbulgum before discussing other evidence.
In the segment forensic anthropologist and criminologist and host Xanthe Mallett said she was surprised at the size of the bag that the remains were found in.
"It's not very large so he could not have been very large to even fit in here," she said.
Tweed's crime manager Inspector Brendon Cullen detailed the facts of the case and said the key piece of evidence was the hand made bag, which they believed the deceased man slept it.
He also said the man was found toothless and it was likely his dentures were in the river.
Insp Cullen told My Daily News in less than 12 hours since the segment aired he had a fresh lead.
"I have a person's phone number right in front of me," he said.
"This person believes it's their father.
"I've got to ring them and find out further information."
The Channel 10 crew were in town to film the segment in early July.
