Black Caviar out of Doomben 10,000

BLACK Caviar has pulled out of next weekend's Doomben 10,000 at the behest of 'unpleased' trainer Peter Moody.

The champion Victorian mare was to be shooting for her 14th consecutive win in the Group 1 race following last weekend's triumph in front of more than 20,000 fans at the BTC Cup.

Brisbane Racing Club chief operating officer Darren Condon said Mr Moody's decision to withdraw the sprinting queen was a disappointment.

But Mr Condon said the trainer had always said he'd give the mare a spell if he thought she needed it.

“She hasn't pleased him since last Saturday,” Mr Condon said. “She's just had enough this time.”
