Billionaire developer's reputation 'gravely injured' by Milne

A DEFAMATION case being brought against Tweed councillor Katie Milne by one of Australia's richest men is expected to return to the NSW Supreme Court next week.

Billionaire developer Bob Ell claims his reputation was "gravely injured" by a letter sent by Ms Milne to several newspapers which linked him to murdered businessman Michael McGurk and suggested he had tried to "buy the favours" of politicians by making large donations to parties.

Justice Lucy Callum has reserved her judgement to consider the evidence.

She is expected to hand down her decision later next week.
