Bill and family enjoy holiday

Bill Cadzow and his family were out bright and early on New Year’s Day enjoying a swim at Main Beach, Byron Bay, and watching the passing parade of ‘interesting people’, many of whom were nursing hangovers from too much revelry the night before.

Bill and his children, Georgia 5 and Jacob 2, from Brisbane, along with Bill’s parents, Lyall and Les Cadzow, from Toowoomba, have been coming to Byron Bay for their annual Christmas holidays for the past 13 years.

Fourteen members of the Cadzow family are in Byron Bay for two weeks.

“We love Byron Bay, we love the beach, the sunsets and the interesting people,” Lyall said.

“We stay in Shirley Street, so we can leave the car and just walk everywhere.

“There are so many interesting people here and we don’t find it too noisy.”

The Cadzows spent a quiet New Year’s Eve bringing the children into town for the beachfront carnival.
