‘Best ever’ Xmas fair

The annual St Finbarr’s Primary School Christmas Fair will be held in the school’s Byron Bay grounds in Broken Head Road tomorrow.

Principal, John Wilson believes the fair is shaping up to be the best ever.

“We have invested significant funds in the school this year with new play equipment, outdoor furniture and landscaping so the school is looking fantastic,” he said.

“It will make a great backdrop for our famous Christmas Fair which has really come of age as we celebrates its 21st birthday this year.”

Catering for kids of all ages, the fair will feature a wide variety of rides, face painting, kids’ games and a special new area called ‘Kindyland’ for the littlies.

Santa is also making a special visit to the school to give out some early Christmas presents.

The cooking stall will again be bulging with Christmas cakes and puddings, shortbread, pickles, jams and chutneys.

A fireworks display at 8.15 pm will cap the entertainment.

“The St Finbarr’s School community is extremely grateful to all the businesses that generously donated to, or sponsored the fair, which makes this local community celebration such a great night out,” Mr Wilson said.
