Bay to host par 3 comp

The Byron Bay Golf Club is hosting an 18 hole, par 3 golf competition open to all golfers and social players on Monday, October 25.

Temporary tees will be set up on existing par 4 and par 5 holes and some will be easy and some challenging.

It's a similar concept to the US Masters Golf Par 3 Competition in Augusta held on the day prior to the US Masters.

The Byron Bay event, sponsored by Spanline, was held for the first time last year and 138 players participated.

Anyone can play even those with no golf handicaps.

Players can enter a ‘Nearest the Pin' shoot-out on the 9th from 100 metres.

Prizes donated by sponsors of each hole will be given for nearest the pins and there will be prizes for lowest scores.

Bookings can be made by phoning the pro shop on 6685 6977.
