Bay bowlers shine

Last week it was two centuries with the bat, this week it was the bowlers’ turn with the ball.

In the Coastal League match v Lennox Head, Toby Schott took six for 11 off 7.1 overs including a hat-trick to set up a win for the seconds.

Lennox Head were set a target of 379 on Saturday after the Bay had received its remaining five overs of the innings.

Under 16s player Oscar Jarvis scored all the 20 runs the Bay put on in those remaining five overs, then picked up the ball and got their two openers out - one with the second ball of his first over.

This set up Toby ‘The Wrecker’ Schott who took his six wickets to break their back and they were all done for 34.
