Bay beer goes out to the world

Byron Bay Premium Ale brewed at the new Byron Bay Brewery at the Buddha Bar is about to go out to the world.

Brewery owners have signed a licensing and distribution agreement with Sydney-based Barons Brewing which will see the beer go national and global.

Under the agreement, Barons will hold the global rights to all sales, marketing, manufacturing and distribution for the next five to 15 years with the brewery continuing to service the local region.

Byron Bay Brewery owner, Barry Schadel, said the agreement would see Barons take the premium ale to the next level both domestically and internationally.

Mr Schadel said the brewery had decided to focus its resources on strengthening its local presence.

“We currently have four new beers on tap undergoing extensive taste testing by our local clientele with tremendous results,” he said.
