Time to glitter with charity show
Byron Bay dazzled last weekend with its annual fashion show, Voyeur, and now its Bangalow's turn to shine.
The fourth annual Spring into Bangalow fashion parade will be held on October 14 at the A and I hall.
Presented by the Bangalow Chamber of Commerce, the charity event will promote local businesses and designers and raise much needed funds for the Bangalow Community Children's Centre.
The parade will present a captivating platform for local businesses and designers to showcase their latest spring/summer collections.
Runway highlights will include resort and party wear, day-to-night looks, weekend casual, swimwear and lingerie with eight local stores such as Aurora, Bangalow 2479, Design Bank, Echidna Place, Glo Hair Design, Don't Tell Mama, Little Peach and more signed up to take part.
Alana Manion from Bangalow 2479 said the night would be a lot of fun.
“There's going to be lots happening and a few surprises,” she said.
“Lots of gorgeous models will strut their stuff on the catwalk, there will be raffles, a charity auction, awards for the best dressed male and female and more.”
Carol from Aurora said the show was a chance for local businesses to showcase their designs.
She said the show was always very popular and this year organisers expected to sell 300 tickets.
“It's a great fundraiser and in the past we have raised thousands of dollars which have been donated to local charities and organisations,” Carol said.
“The hall will be beautifully styled and decorated thanks to Ivory Bay and there will be a licensed bar and finger food.”
Guests will receive a complimentary drink on arrival.
MCs for the night will be Morag Page and Scott McGregor.
Tickets for what promises to be a glittering and fun-packed evening are $25 per person and can be purchased from Barebones Gallery or Bangalow 2479.
The adults-only event will start at 7pm.
