Bangalow man, 24, charged with child sex offences
POLICE have arrested and charged a Bangalow man with 22 alleged child grooming offences relating to victims as young as 14.
Lismore Detectives attached to strike force Benlin who were conducting an ongoing investigation into child grooming on the north coast arrested the 24-year-old on Wednesday.
At Lismore police station the man was charged with eight counts of using a carriage service to groom persons under 16, 10 counts of using a carriage service to transmit communication to a person under 16, and four counts of using a carriage service for child pornography material.
Police said the charges related to alleged offences committed between 2011 and 2013 over social media platforms.
It is alleged the charges involved 10 victims aged between 14 and 17.
The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear in Lismore Local Court in May.
