Bali Nine pair: Australia has 'touched our hearts'

ONE of the Bali Nine pair facing execution in Indonesia says the Australian support of their plight has "touched our hearts".

Myuran Sukumaran made the statement through a letter read out by comedian Craig Reucassel at a vigil for Sukumaran and fellow death row inmate Andrew Chan on Wednesday night.

The vigil, one of many held across Australia, came as Indonesia indicated the transfer of the pair to an island for execution was delayed, but the death pen-alty remained.

Sukumaran's letter said the outpouring of support in recent months had "helped our families so much" and that "whatever happens, I know that me and Andrew are good people now".

The Indonesian Government has not bowed to international calls for clemency for the pair.
