Bailey confident Nathan Lyon will play in final

CRICKET: Stand-in Australian captain George Bailey says he is confident spinner Nathan Lyon will recover from a leg complaint in time to play in Saturday's tri-series final in Zimbabwe.

Lyon, who finished with the figures of 1-53 from his 10 overs against South Africa on Tuesday, was off the field receiving treatment on his thigh when Australia dismissed the final Proteas batsman to win by 62 runs.

"I don't think it will be an issue - he's pretty confident the doctor and physio will settle that down in the next couple of days," Bailey said.

Spin has played a key part in the series on the slow turning wickets at the Harare Sports Club, to the point Australia opened with part-time tweaker Glen Maxwell against South Africa. He finished with 2-22 off four overs as South Africa was bowled out for 220 in reply to Australia's 7-282.

Opener Phil Hughes (85), and all-rounder Mitch Marsh (86 n.o. off 51 balls) were the stars with the bat.
