Back complaint keeps Lance Franklin on the sidelines

CHAMPION Sydney Swans forward Lance Franklin has been ruled out of tomorrow night's match against Collingwood at the SCG after failing to recover from a back complaint.

The former Hawthorn premiership player missed last week's 32-point loss to Geelong, and has struggled with the back injury since being a late withdrawal from the Swans' clash against West Coast in round 17.

He played the following week against the Crows in Sydney in support of teammate Adam Goodes, but struggled during the match.

In better news for the Swans, Gary Rohan (ham

string), Mike Pyke (knee) and Ben McGlynn (hamstring tightness) could be a chance to face the Pies after getting through training.

Meanwhile Collingwood is set to regain forward Travis Cloke after he appeared to have shaken off the calf problem that has sidelined him since the round 16 clash with West Coast.
