Aversion Crown singer features on Trojan EP

Sydney metalcore legends Trojans have release a video for hard-out single DEAD EYED STARE.

Dead Eyed Stare is a song about depression and the lives of the people who suffer every day with the horrible affliction.

The track's lyrics address the sufferer's constant thoughts of suicide and life's monotony - and the will and sheer strength required to beat it.

The video follows main character (actor Dosey Smith) waking up in an abandoned hospital. Being chased by Death (actress Rachel Greenwood). Dosey becomes distraught after not being able to escape the hospital until he sees Life (actress Esther Link) walk past.

He then follows Life, who then guides him through and out of the Hospital. Death keeps trying to tempt him to stay but he finds the strength to break free and finally find his way out to find his Peace.

The clip is a metaphor for people struggling with their demons of depression and suicidal thoughts - and encourages them to find the light in their life and that they can get through it to find peace.

Directed, filmed and edited by Jacob Pattinson, the clip was shot with full permission and access to the location - an abandoned Mental hospital in the Blue Mountains - The Queen Victoria sanitarium.

Despite only being less than 9 months into their career, Trojans are already climbing their way to the top of the heap.

To celebrate the release of this badass single, the Trojans lads are launching it with two shows in NSW - Port Macquarie's Youth Hub gets an All Ages show on December 10th and Sydney's Destroy All Lines club MMRS gets a show on December 17.

The 5 piece Groove Djent outfit from Sydney Australia who in their first 9 months of existence have supported some of Australia's heavy weights such as King Parrot, Confession and also America's Hawthorne Heights just to name a few - and making a name for themselves in the Sydney music scene too.

Their 5 track debut EP "The Blissful Hollow” is scheduled for release in the early months of 2017 and will feature guest vocals from Mark Poida of Aversions Crown and more.

The EP will be accompanied by a national tour in 2017.

If you or a friend or colleague is suffering depression or mental illness, contact Beyond Blue - https://www.beyondblue.org.au.

Trojans' single DEAD EYED STARE will be available in Spotiy and iTunes (and all good online outlets) on Friday November 25.
